FARMINGTON, IL – Esther Joy King, Republican candidate for Illinois’ 17th Congressional District, today announced she was endorsed by the Spoon River Valley Fraternal Order of Police and launched her campaign’s First Responder Coalition at a meet and greet in Fulton County.
“Law enforcement need our help,” said King. “They not only need adequate funding, but policies that allow them to do their jobs. This support is critical to the safety and security of our communities. We’ve seen what happens when safe communities are not a priority — when they’re disparaged by the far left. I’m so thankful for the Spoon River Valley FOP’s endorsement and for the expertise of our local first responders on our coalition. I look forward to continuing to meet with first responders throughout this district and expanding our coalition as we move into the general election.”
“Esther is great friend to our officers and to law enforcement,” said Ike Hackett, President, Spoon River Valley FOP Lodge 427. “We’re proud to endorse her and support her race for Congress. We know she will go to Washington, DC and stand up for us and for the policies law enforcement needs to protect themselves and the communities they proudly serve.”
